Expansion of Board of Directors for NEKHC
NEWPORT (January, 2012) Shareholders of NEKHC voted to expand the Board of Directors of the company at their annual shareholders meeting in January. The vote expanded the current Board of four to a Board of seven, at least half of which are to be non-employees of the company.
The current Board of four members includes Gerry Hunt, President and Chairman, Rena Ellingwood, Vice President and Director of Homecare, Jennifer Barnes, Secretary and Director of The Meeting Place, and Viola Hauver, non-employee member. The current board was reconfirmed by the shareholders.
In addition, following the vote to expand the Board, two additional members were elected. Alma Marsh of Newport, formerly a travel agent and a Board Member for the Frontier Animal Shelter, and Donald Hunt, Tax Preparer and business owner, joined the Board as non-employee members. The company will recruit for one additional non-employee member.
NEKHC is a Subchapter-S Corporation registered in the State of Vermont.
